    OVERVIEW

Shenton College is committed to maintaining and improving the local environment and the culture of sustainability within our community to ensure future generations understand and practice sustainable habits. As part of this commitment, the College's Sustainability Portfolio is launching an initiative to plant a variety of native Western Australian trees and plants on the Shenton College campus, therefore:

  • Rehabilitating deforested areas

  • Providing shade in open areas of the school

  • Creating an opportunity for student and local community collaboration

After stages of research, investigation, preparation, and consultation with external experts, we have identified suitable locations on our College campus to plant our native plants and trees on June 29th at Shenton College's first community planting event! See below for more details.
